Tesla at risk of falling from the billionaire club
Shares of electric car maker Tesla fell in the fourth quarter on Wednesday. The membership of billionaire club of this company is at stake.
Tesla's share price fluctuated in the capital after Tesla chief Elon Musk announced the withdrawal of 10% of its shares in a Twitter poll. At the beginning of the day, the share price fell 3.5% at $ 987.31.
According to Reuters, Tesla has lost nearly $ 200 billion since the Musk survey on Monday which is more than the combined market capital of General Motors and Ford Motors.
Last month, Tesla entered the elite trillion-dollar club as the world's most valuable carmaker with a record order of 1 million cars from rental car company Herz.
Encouraged by the sale, Musk asked his followers on Twitter over the weekend whether he should sell his 10% stake in Tesla. About 58% of them voted for the sale.
Meanwhile, four former and current Tesla board members, including Musk's brother Kimball Musk, applied for a 1 billion dollar share sale late last month.
